Kirk Jensen is living the dream. He was offered his dream job, slapped handcuffs on his nemesis, and is going to get the murder charges hanging over June's head dismissed. Who knows, maybe there will be a wedding in the near future. Everyone who's tried to destabilize the peace on Kodiak Island is going behind bars for a very long time.
Now, Kirk has a choice to make. Does he take the job he's always wanted since he was a kid, uproot his growing pack, and move across the country? Or, does he continue to be the best small-town cop Alaska has ever seen? Whatever his choice, he is no longer an obscure bear shifter living on an island in the middle of nowhere. His homicidal grandmother is still lurking around somewhere, and he doesn't know half of what she is capable of. Thankfully, he's got the love and support of his pack behind him.
