Unabridged Audiobook
The concept is intriguing. However, the execution ruined it. The art of suspense is to contrast those moments with other tonal shades. This was full pelt fortissimo with the sustain pedal clamped down. So what had all the makings of an excellent plot, failed due to the author’s heavy handed approach. For all the drama, it did not engage , nor did I care about the characters. Disappointing.
