I've been reading and more recently listening to political thrillers for years now, and Jack Carr is a breath of fresh air, not only for his gift for storytelling but also because you're forced to think outside the box. Would I recommend 'Only the Dead'? Absolutely! But I'd also recommend starting at the beginning with 'The Terminal List' (even if you've seen the Netflix series) because Reece is on a journey, and that's what makes this series so special. However, no book can be successful in audio without a great narrator, and the talented Ray Porter was an excellent choice for this series. The only negative about this book was that I couldn't stop listening, and finished it all too soon.

Great series, looking forward for more books in this series.

Awesome book

As usually with Jack Carr's James Reece series I thoroughly enjoyed it, it did seem a little bland and boring at times, but it was the technical aspects like the gear and kit break downs and thr gritty, bloody fast paced action got me every time! to top it off the narrator does an epic job!
