Unabridged Audiobook
I read this when I was a teenager and just listened to it as an adult. I must say there's nothing like a Vernor Vinge novel.
Interesting story. I'm not sure if it's the narration or the writing but at points it's sort of hard to follow what is happening, how we got from one scene to the next with flashbacks and a few other settings. Lacking a lot of background initially it take a very long time to be able to differentiate between the characters as it seems they are described exactly one time and if toy didn't catch it then tough luck. Otherwise I'd say it's very imaginative and a very interesting story. Definitely worth a listen. This is the second book in the series, I think I definitely enjoyed the first one more though that one wasn't without its own flaws, it really felt like an issue of narration in that case.
