Unabridged Audiobook
A confession: i am a Titanic "addict": and have been so since I was 12 and saw a published in 1912 in the wake I'd the disaster. So, this title immediately caught my attention. I have read many books about the disaster including recent discoveries about the coal fires that were smoldering in the coal stores from the launch of the shop and which probsbly affected the strength of the hull. This novel supplies rich detailed descriptions of the ship and its accomodations. The author tells a tale which adds the dimension of international tension between Britain and Germany in the years leading up to WWI. The writing is exciting. The characters are well defined and three dimensional. The telling of the events of the disaster are nerve wracking. The narrator is superb, too.
