Unabridged Audiobook
The book focused alot on his hollywood life, and the countless women SteveM slept with (particularly while he was married to his wife Neal sp?). I was more interested in his character - and in particular his fixation with racing-cars and motorcycles etc. While Eliot covered this in the book, I cringed everytime he incorrectly pronounced lemans (lay-mohn) as lay-maans. Further, I think the film did a bit better than Eliot characterized it as (IIRC - Speed when they showed it indicated it had pulled in about $40 million US all-in to that date). Further, there was not much detail about his family life, I guess that only came up when he was married to Ali McGraw. In the end, I found I did not much like the character Eliot portrayed. It seemed very ego-centric. Perhaps SteveM was not a likable guy all in - I just felt their was always more depth to him (his acting may have fooled me)!
