Unabridged Audiobook
A touching story. Life is made up of routines, and living within them is not always easy. Real life is far from a fairy tale, and this narrative captures the authenticity of everyday life beautifully. I found it particularly interesting to follow the story from a male perspective. It’s fascinating to see how men and women think differently, and how those differences play out in daily routines. This contrast was portrayed with sensitivity and realism. I also appreciated the depiction of grief — the need to give it time, the acceptance that it can’t be rushed, and the importance of allowing oneself to feel. There should be more books told from a male point of view — it would be both valuable and necessary. I really liked the narrator.
Beautifully written and utterly heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time. I felt connected to the deeply crafted characters and the narrator was brilliant.
