I found this book disappointing, I would have given up before halfway if I had been reading it instead of having the audio version. The author reads it herself and is very good. The main character for me came over as selfish and very stupid, from the honeymoon onwards the story went downhill to just laughable nonsense. The ending didn't make any sense as if the author had lost interest and just wanted to finish the book.

Loved every minute! Loved the narration and was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that the book was narrated by the author!

I look forward to the day when I can read a book with decent language. It's probably a good book but the language put me off so I didn't finish it.

Oof. Dull. Nothing really happens after the initial set up, the twist was so obvious I thought it couldn’t possibly be the ‘twist’ people were talking about so I was waiting for a final shock - but it never came.

The book was reasonably good, but for me it was not in the "wow" category.

The book started off very strong, with the narrator digging a grave and comparing it to running a marathon. I was intrigued! It started off with so much potential. I usually really like Reece Witherspoon’s book club picks. I decided to just listen to this book during my runs. In the last week I actually found myself going for a run just so that I could finish the book. Not because I was enjoying the book, but because the story was just so unrealistic and stupid; I had so hoped that things would improve. It didn’t. Every time I listened to it, I found myself rolling my eyes at how stupid the main characters were. But then had to remind myself, it’s a story. The main character irritated me more and more with her stupid decisions and actions. Long and the short of it, the couple should have gone to the police the minute a weird bag crossed their path. Everything that happened after that just verged on absolutely ridiculous.  I got the distinct feeling that the author rushed to finish the book, maybe she also got bored with the absudity of it all.

Well researched thriller, very well written with attention to detail and well read by the author herself. Look forward to her next book.
