Unabridged Audiobook
This was very slow to really get started, to the point I nearly gave up, especially as the narrator was awful. I don't know if she was too near the microphone or what the problem was, but every single breath she took was a loud asthmatic gasp which became extremely distracting and annoying. This should definitely have been picked up by the sound manager and corrected. Least enjoyable Chamberlain book.
Definitely not my favorite Chamberlain book. A good story line, but some of the characters (the parents and ex husband) were such horrible people, they were painful to listen to. The main character was ostensibly an intelligent and independent woman, but much of her dialogue and inner monologue did not reflect this. She was made out to be unassertive and codependent. The narrator’s voice was simpering. I cringed through much of this book, but the story line held me, and I listened through to the end.
Again another great read by Chamberlain. I can’t wait to start a new one in a few days!!
This audio kept me on my toes. Some predictions not a lot. All in all I could not stop listening. Wish author would have elaborated more at the end with Zoey. Will not mention why
