good read but narrator's voice is kind of grating...

Great Stephen King novel. The narrator did an excellent job as well

The narrator was fine. For such a popular book I thought it would be much better. Unlikeable main character that really goes nowhere, more of a "here, some stuff happened" than an interesting story. Would not recommend.

The scariest things about this book are how incompetent almost every character is as the bump by mistake into their solutions after it is (nearly) too late and the rage that filled me every time the narrator did Tads “whiny voice” I kept waiting for his mother to shut him up some how. With that said I did enjoy the story and book, the characters I can forgive, the narrator is doing their job but the whining gave me an eye twitch and assured me I shouldn’t have children.

This is my tenth or eleventh Stephen King book and it's my favorite one so far. It's incredible. The narrator did a great job. I mean, I didn't like her in the sample very much but I enjoyed the book a lot. I don't know, I guess that I got used to her voice and then I just loved her work. And the book, well, what can I say? I didn't think it was going to be so tense and have such a round ending.

I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. King does an amazing job of setting up, maintain, and then describing hopelessness in this one. It's for that reason that I like this book soo much. I found myself exhaling in frustration when character made the decisions they made because I wanted them to make the right one without knowing what is actually happening. Some of the most disturbing and memorable death descriptions I have from King's novels come from this book. The book is good all the way to the end.

This was a very good book. Great narration. Made me feel like I was there witnessing it. It kept me in suspense! One of Stephen King's classics!
