Unabridged Audiobook
HWFWM2 is very enjoyable. The strengths of this book is the interactions of characters. Jason is such a oddball, having other characters to bounce off of is largely the fun of this book. Sophie, Neal, and Belinda are the newest additions of the team and their down to earth personalities balance Jason out quite well. The central highlight of Book 2 is Sophie’s evolution from a mere survivalist into a force capable of forging her own destiny + Jason's awkward involvement in supporting this transition. If I were to have any criticism, fights fall into the play-by-play category and drag out pretty long, and in typical lit-rpg fashion loot and abilities take lots of time of this book. As a gamer nerd I enjoy this extra fluff but it won't be for everyone.
Brilliant, great listening
Absolutely fantastic! I loved it. I cannot wait to get the next
The narrator is amazing. rarely is a narrator so good. sophie is a little weak but the rest is so amazing i dont care. The book is better than the first, more coherent, better pacing, but a little slower at times. The plot could stand to move a bit quicker. Jason has grown and has room to grow, and is called out on his negative traits a bit more. The author has toned it down a bit, but a personal hatred of religion comes through that seems more than jason's own. Great writing, but those personal biases sneak in. Keep improving Travis though its mostly great stuff!
very well done book
I love this series and this was a great follow up to the first!
