Unabridged Audiobook
I felt a bit "trashy" as I listened to parts of the book. The story stood alone and did not need all of the detailed descriptions of the TOO MANY sexual encounters. So many characters with no morals. I would never recommend this book!!
If you love this author this one will be a great summer listen. Lots of character lines to follow which I love plus really great narration.
This book dragged on forever. She had to tell the story of every single character. It was just too much. By the time she got back around to a character again, I’d forgotten what happened previously. To each us their own - but I’d prefer not to hear about detailed gay sexual encounters in a beach read. Readers should be warned about that. It’s just not what I chose for pleasure reading. That turned me off. I would not recommend it to my friends. It seems we can’t shop, buy a beer, watch television or even listen to a book these days without having current, “woke” accepted sexual practices of society shoved in our faces. I’m just over that. The book was just long and boring. The narrator was monotonous. I chose this author because she was suggested if you read Dorothea Benton Frank, Elin Hilderbrand, Mary Alice Monroe and Mary Kay Andrews. I don’t think her writing is the same. I doubt I will try another of her books.
Unnecessary graphic sexual details.
Really enjoyed the story, the characters, and the narration. I laughed out loud, gasped, and cried. All signs of a great book.
lovely book with some twists and turns
I’ve enjoyed her books-but this seemed a bit too preachy for my taste. The narrator did not enhance the story with her monotonous speech.
Excellent read!! Enjoyed the charters! Suspense till the end!!
The PC language in this book is sickening.
