Unabridged Audiobook
One of the best books I've read!
Unique, well researched. A little long.
Initially the narrator used a gushing tone, fake. However, as the reading progressed her voice became more natural. The story is fascinating and leaves the reader both grateful and saddened because of the lost years for Hazel and Flora. Callahan Henry tells such an emotional circumstance in the midst of true historical events!
This book grabbed me from the outset! Beautifully written it is also an intriquing mystery. I never saw the resolution coming!
I thought the book was beautifully written but the ending was a bit of a let down.
I thought it was a great read. Kept my interest and tied up loose ends well. I liked it. Had a hard time understanding the English accent in the beginning, but got used to it.
Lovely story and beautifully read. Interesting to learn about the evacuated children.
Unique story with good twists. Develops off interesting historical fact that I never knew happened. Narrator great.
Beautiful story with great characters.
