Unabridged Audiobook
Probably the only book I will ever read again
Rich characters and interesting storyline. Thoroughly enjoyable.
probably one of the best books and stories. narrator makes it a beautiful listen!
I have seldom enjoyed a book so much. Such a beautiful story and so uplifting. Thank you Allen Levi for writing such a charming book and David Morse for his sensitive reading too. The main character, Theo, will continue to inspire me and I know I will return to this book again and again - I loved the characters and the feel good of it.
It was a bit slow in the middle, but so so so worth it in the end. Loved it
A lovely story with a sad twist. Very well written…….. A life lesson for everyone….. if only everyone in the world treated others in the same way, the world would be a much better place…..
Not quite my storyline, but extremely light and enjoyable. The narrator was spectacular.
Muy emocionante.Hasta el final no sabes lo que va a pasar
Outstanding book , loved it , wasn’t quite sure where it was going initially, as I usually read books where things are faster or become clear earlier, however once I leaned into the pace and the story, it was delightful, I smiled, reminisced, and cried and overall have had continual thoughts about aspects of this book , thank you and well done Allen Levi
This is a book that everyone should read at least once in life. Simply brilliant. The narrator was brilliant too.
Having read these reviews below I ordered this book, however, once purchased I somehow then saw quite dreadful reviews basically expressing boredom and too much Christianity. So I listened to this book with an open mind.....it was endearing albeit quite slow moving at times, I also struggled to hear the soft spoken narrator sometimes but mostly heard adequately and he suited the book. This book encompasses the joy of giving and true kindness and is thought provoking with a dramatic finish and a couple of unanswered statements! I would definitely recommend, the little bit of Christianity in it is rather nice and in keeping with Theo. Memorable.
Excellent an absolute must read.
good feeling and soothing book it touched my soul.
Has this author ever interacted with women. He writes about them in such a 2-dimensional way it’s hard to tell if he hates them or has never chatted to one. My guess is it’s written by AI but then again I think AI would do better. Great narration Terrible story
A gentle and engaging novel that invokes reflection and has you reimagining how an interaction could have benefited by the question ‘what would Theo do here?’.
For about 2 months, I listened to it whenever I drove. Absolute phenomenal plot and characters from different eras with storylines crafted and woven masterfully that comes together as a beautiful fabric of soulful and beautiful masterpiece. It's been over a year and I am still in wonder whenever I recall it. I hope the movie will do it justice. I found Abraham Varghese from a Ted Talk, and grew really fond of his ideas, and now he's a favourite author.
First of all, I loved the voice of the narrator as it made me feel like it was Theo's personality coming out. A beautiful book - half way through the book you are wondering where this is going but towards the end, how beautifully everything comes together. A feel good and lovely benchmark life to look for ward to. A definite read.
Loved this book. So humanly spiritual in the best way possible.
