Unabridged Audiobook
Interesting
Awesome, great narration. Can't wait to read the rest
I've been a Sherrilyn Kenyon fan for a long time. I love this series. The narrator annoyed me. The way he pronounces certain names is wrong (it shows in the books the correct pronunciation) , and to me the way he talks just sounds forced. Like he is just reading words, not telling a story.
Absolutely amazing loved it. Loved it loved it.
one of my favorite books
So far this is my favorite one! There is a lot more development of the characters!
Great book! An amazing story! I could not stop listening!!!
Love! Love!!!
I've read this book on paperback. This was my first audio book and I love it even more.
My all time favorite book! Have re read over and over again. Actually took my distressed copy to get signed by Sherrilyn Kenyon when I met her! So worth the read and I recommend to all. Not just a romance story! So so much more!
I am stunned how much this series has come to mean to me. I took the advise to not skip ahead and read Acheron before I had gulped down the other books before this one, and it was worth it. To read everything that happend before Acheron makes this story so much better. In a frightening world where dark hunters, were hunters and demons fight with and against the very gods for the worlds salvation or destruction, Sherillyn makes the characters come alive. This story is amazing in so many ways, it tells of why the characters act like they do and it makes you love them even if you want to hate them. The way of portraiting the misery and pain aswell as profound happiness and love makes your own heart ache and soar. The first part of this book tells of the past needed for the future to be as it is, no matter how sad and cruel, the second part tells of the current day and though I'm not gonna spoil it for you, I can say this much: The future (current day) will change the world of the series. My self, I can't wait to sink my teeth into the next book to see what is in store for our heroes.
Great book a great way to travel to and from where ever you are going
If I had only one word to describe this book: EPIC! What an amazing ride, totally worth reading the 14 books before this one just to get to Acheron. Honestly, I start to bore of a series when there are this many books. Still, I plugged away with the Dark Hunters because of how many times I’d seen Acheron on someone’s favorite shelf. I had to read it and know why so many people loved it. Well, now that I’ve read it I totally understand the hype—it’s amazing. For me a 5 star read is a book I love and have to tell everyone to read. More than 5 stars means that I will reread this book again and again and never get bored. I’m already counting down the days to my reread. If I wasn’t using a Kindle, Acheron would be the paperback on my shelf falling apart from the amount of times I intend to reread this story. One of my favorite things in a good book is great characters. An author’s ability to character build can make or break a story. I thought I’d read books with good character building before, but now that I’ve read Acheron everything else pales in comparison. The first half of this book is Acheron’s past, and holy hell is it heart wrenching. I read a review where the reader asked if it was necessary to emasculate Acheron to tell this story. I honestly believe it was. Acheron is one of the most powerful gods in creation and as a human he was born a prince. If he was raised like his twin he would’ve been a spoiled, entitled brat with no compassion. He wouldn’t be the man we love now. It’s true what they say that our past, good or bad, makes us who we are today. He needed to experience human suffering to feel compassion and empathy for it. It’s hard to write a review for a book like this and not give spoilers, so I’m not going to say anything else except this is one of the best paranormal romance books I’ve read. I think anyone who likes the genre should read this book—but you can’t skip ahead. You have to read the books before it first, and like I said, every single book I read was worth the read to get to Ash.
