Brigadier Etienne Gerard: Fearless, loyal, aggressive, a master swordsman and horseman, and always on the attack. A loyal Hussar of France, devoted to his Emperor.
In this second series of stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, we see the Brigadier lose his ear in Venice, break the siege of Saragossa, become embroiled in a foxhunt, light the beacons in Spain, avoid scandal during his time in england, and then to the horrors of Russia. Finally, to Belgium, where his deeds on that fateful day at Waterloo come to light. And after that...? Perhaps one last story, of a certain Island?

Narrated by Michael Ward.
