Clark found me in the bathroom rinsing my underwear in the sink. He approached behind and squeezed my shoulders. “So Norris is sailing with us.”

“Uh huh, he said he was going to ask if he could.”

“Right.” Clark kissed my shoulder and cuddled me with his hands on my belly. “And you’re sure you’re safe from getting pregnant?”

“Hmm yes, and it’s a bit late to worry about that now anyway.”

“Yeah true. I was watching through the window back there. I saw him with you, baby.”

“Uh huh, and did you like it?”

Clark swallowed. “Yeah I liked it.” He sat across our small dining table and rested back, taking a big breath and expelling. “It’s good that he’s going to be helping with the search. It increases our chances significantly – him and the high-resolution capabilities of the sonar. His advice on sonar depths and widths of our search lanes, and deciphering the images – it’s a huge bonus to have him join in.”

“Yes and that’s good, right?”

“Yeah it’s good, and he’s a half-decent kind of bloke when you get past how full of himself he is. I’ve always gotten on pretty well with him by not challenging too much, letting him have his say and not arguing unless it’s absolutely necessary. Yep, as long as he thinks he’s in charge.”

“Hmm I know all about that, don’t worry. From you telling me constantly about it after work regularly,” I smiled defiantly. “And you can go on bitching about his arrogance all you want after he’s helped us find the wreck, can’t you!”

“Yeah I guess.” Clark swallowed and took another breath. “The only thing is that I told him he could try and get with you again while we’re out at sea. I don’t know why I said it but I just did.”

My blush fired up a bit. “It’s okay Clark, I don’t mind that.” I bit my lip and smile. “I won’t mind if any of you men need to take me into the bedroom while we’re out at sea.”
