Unabridged Audiobook
You’d just know Mel would have some stories and it’s great to hear his voice tell them.
Having Mel narrate his own memoir was like inviting him into your living room for an extended, entertaining visit. What a warm, witty and remarkable guy (or as Lili von Schtupp in Blazing Saddles would say, “What a nice guy!”). This was a thoroughly enjoyable audiobook!
Magic to hear Mel share his stories! The goat…
Listening to Mel Brooks reading his own story has to be better than reading his book in hardcover or paperback. The Brooklyn NY inflection, the timing, etc. are priceless. I loved listening to this book! And I learned a lot about his life and career, and about show business in general. Terrific! Hump? What hump?
I loved this book. Mel Brooks narration was terrific. GREAT JOB.
Mel Brooks has given us a tremendous memoir on his comedic life. I particularly enjoyed learning of his childhood, World War II experience and marriage to Ann Bancroft.
