Thank you to the author for this audiobook in exchange for a review! I loved getting to re-read this book by listening to the brand new audiobook format! I really enjoyed the first time around and the audiobook was done very well, and it really added to the story! Audio format review: This book was done in dual narration and the narrators chosen were both excellent in their roles. One of the biggest critiques about dual narration is always that narrators voicing the opposite gender is not done well. WELL, both narrators did a really great job with this. The casting was fantastic and there was not a single moment that I didn't enjoy the way the narrators portrayed the characters. AND, Savannah Thomas' voice for Nana was perfection. General Book review: Lo Everett is really good at writing characters who are unique and feel like real people. Poppy operates an adult phone service and has had a lot of difficulty in all kinds of relationships because of her job, while Hendrix is a pro baseball player who lacks trust in relationships because he's been used before. This eventually becomes a problem and of course causes some conflict in their new relationship. However, what I really liked about this book, which is different from many other romance books, is that the conflict occurs earlier in the book and NOT at the end. That's right, no 3rd act breakup.

Oh my god! I love this so much! This is not my first Lo book but this BLEW ME AWAY! I loved Poppy and Hendrix so much! The premise was so good! Pro baseball player x phone sex operator/aspiring audiobook narrator?!! Sign me up! The spice was perfect! Lo can really write a good spicy scene! The conflict built so perfectly I just was waiting and waiting for things to drop and when they did the resolution was so good! Yes there was an initial bit of “oh my gosh how could he?” But this was so realistic and then the communication and just overall adult-ness of their relationship was so lovely! I just was swooning over this whole book! Janet was so perfect, the rest of the friend group was so amazing I cannot wait to get into their stories too!! I listened to the audio book and first of all Savannah Thomas is Poppy, she was made for this role! She plays both her part and her Hendrix parts perfectly! Bravo! Scott Rose brings Hendrix to live perfectly and had me blushing OFTEN! Thank you Lo for sending me this audiobook! You’re the best!
