Unabridged Audiobook
On my second time through. While it does bring up some good points and makes me think, it didn't make me want to put my cigarettes down. No great revelations here. I know the tobacco companies are bad, I know celebrities were used to glamourize cigarettes. I know it will feel great to quit. It's doing it that is the problem. Putting out a cigarette at the end of the book sounds a lot like cold turkey to me. It also sounds a lot like an informercial for the system itself. Which is basically " here are all of the bad things about smoking and it's easy to quit". You can get that on any number of books out there. I'm glad it works for some folks, so it's worth a try.
It took me 3/4 of the way through the book to realize it was going to work. 1 month later, and zero cravings or desire to have a cigarette.
Absolutely works. My mindset completely changed, quitting has been easier than I ever imagined it could be. I’m a very happy, non-stressed non-smoker! I don’t have cravings and I don’t worry about starting again in the future. I’m done for good!
I just got to say thank you so much I have tried every way to quit smoking and I feel successful this time
The best book on addiction I have ever read.
Yes wow… failed first time… second time I got this re read very next day and keep going back to stay free chapter as a reminder but yes I have quit 100% never going back!! Love the narrator voice ! Thank u Alan for this amazing book ! It has changed my life both my partner and my mind set !
Mainly it’s an undoing of the brainwashing of the benefits of nicotine. It still requires some willpower, though.
A surprisingly eye-opening read.Simple, direct, and far more empowering than I expected.I only regret not discovering it sooner — it truly changes the way you look at smoking.
2 and a half years on from listening to this audiobook I have not had any form of nicotine and it has felt completely effortless. I had been a smoker for around 18 years smoking a pack a day and in the last 6 months or so of that time had been using a vape also. I had tried so many times with different methods to give up with the longest period being no more than a week. I was extremely sceptical of the book and all the way through until the very end I don’t think I believed I would be able to give up. But something that I can’t even describe happened after reading this book and after Getting through the first few days it was an absolute breeze. I can’t even tell you the exact date I had my last cigarette as it was in the end so easy and normal it ended up being a complete non event. Honestly if you smoke and you don’t want to anymore it is a game changer. Literally as simple as pressing a button
