Unabridged Audiobook
It started off ok but was so incredibly predictable and then went off on a religious stance - - definitely not for me.
No bad words, Good story, too many times talking about plumeria scent. But will listen to next book in series
Kind of preachy
Good narrator. Interesting setting it in an animal sanctuary. Compelling characters. Story line was weak and took a weird turn to religion. Built up to one thing and then nothing was really resolved. Wouldn’t read again.
a good story, with a twist the Narrator was excellent
I wish it had been advertised as a Christian novel. There was barely anything about god in the first half, and so much after that I couldn’t finish it.
very well read book. kept me wanting to listen
Loved it
I was attracted to this book because of the setting at an animal reserve. I love animals and if I were younger, I would have loved to work on a reserve. The story flowed. I enjoyed listening from the very beginning to the end. I’m looking forward to the next title in the series.
Good story. Well read.
Overall great performance, great story
Enjoyed very much
Enjoyable read and good narrator.
I hate that I wasted a credit on this book. When I ordered there was no mention of it's Christian theme, just really not for me.
I choose to read Coleen Coble’s books specifically for the clean, Christian content. The setting was interesting and the narration was great. Although the plot was a bit too predictable, overall, I enjoyed the book and plan to listen to the rest of the books in the series. I suggest infusing a little more exciting mystery-thriller content. Thanks to Coleen for providing choices with clean language and wholesome content.
A decent listen. I was a little ambushed by the string Christian overtones.
I enjoyed the story but it became unnecessarily religious.
This was just ok for me
I wasn't prepared for the religious piece. Otherwise I enjoyed the story, but that felt like an addition that didn't quite gel into the story cohesively.
Okay.
Story was very good. If ended quickly and left things unfinished. Perhaps that was intentional but frustrating!
I loved the story and the characters. A riveting, suspenseful, edge of your seat, with romance surging in the the midst of all that's going on. Paradise searches for back in the town that carries much of her unspoken pain. She felt lost, scared, confused, and falls right back into an old heart break, Blake, who was a kind, soft spoken, loving man.He still held a touch for Paradise. Blake x-military, home to take care of his mom, two brothers and family business after death of his dad. Together they were able to find answers to many of the issues face them. Through Blake's love for God, he was able to show Paradise that God came change the way her life was going. Nothing is impossible with God on your side.
I’ve never disliked a book enough to rate it, but I was genuinely glad this one was over. Bummed I wasted a credit to listen to this, was it written by a 15 year old who just got home from church camp? Not a fan by any means.
Fo not read this book (and ossinly any by this author) unless you are deeply religious as the constant drumbeat referencing god and prayer will make you nuts!
Great mystery with a strong underlying faith theme
Good story. Narration was well done. I didn’t feel there were that many Christian references as a few reviews mentioned. I’ve read more than that in other books. I didn’t feel it ruined the story at all. To each their own I suppose.
A very enjoyable listen. Thank you
Het was een onderhoudend verhaal maar wel net langs een keukenmeidenroman afgelopen.
