Anneke's Legacy

Lucia answers the buzzing phone on her desk, and her life changes forever

Tasked with settling her great-aunt’s estate on the arid Caribbean island of Bonaire, cynical editor Lucia Vandersteeg clashes with Burke, a rugged fisherman living on the property. As she uncovers her family’s past and confronts a dangerous treasure-hunting scam that puts her in peril, Lucia must decide whether to trust the man who infuriates her most, or return to her lonely life in the city, leaving behind a chance at unexpected love.

While navigating the island’s slow pace and the complexities of the estate, Lucia develops a simmering attraction to the fisherman, all while being pursued by the more suitable attorney.

Can the tangled lives of the people on this small island be sorted out before someone gets hurt? Will Lucia and Burke acknowledge their attraction before it’s too late?
