Unabridged Audiobook
Audiobook Review followed by a Book Review: Narrator: Ashley Bryce & Danny Montooth My Reading Speed: 1.5x Have I Read The Book Before Listening to the Audio? Yes Overall Audio Impression: I loved reading this story as a book and really enjoyed listening to the audiobook for a reread! I did wish it was dual narrated in the way of having the girl doing all the girl parts and the guy doing all the guy parts throughout (instead of having them just narrate their character’s chapters -> which is how this audiobook was), but it wasn’t bad! The only real issue I had with the narration (which was still a non-issue) was listening to the guy narrator at 1.5 speed. At first it was a little hard to understand what he was saying, but after getting through a few minutes of it I was able to understand him! I loved listening to how Dylan and Reid fell in love all over again! I loved seeing the start of Etta & Zac’s hate relationship that I can’t wait to dive into in the next audiobook! And I loved getting to see Dylan’s dad and the part he played in bringing them closer together! Favorite Scenes: Opening scene Trying to push aside jealousy Matchmaking attempts Escape Room Book Review: Reader’s Notes: – this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone – this is told from Dylan & Reid’s points of view Review: I loved this best friends to more romance! Dylan and Reid have the best banter and I loved the situations they got into in this book! I loved that Dylan’s dad was a sounding board for the both of them and just told them what he could see was happening. I also loved the secret identity aspect of the story and how it came full circle. Some of my favorite scenes/moments included: a bat, Dylan’s attempts to push Reid away, an escape room, Dylan’s friendships, Reid trying to get through to Dylan, and asking for her hand/the proposal. Summary: Dylan is in love with her best friend Reid, but doesn’t feel like she is enough for him. So instead she tries to just pine away for a mysterious local blogger and push the new woman in town towards her best friend. But jealousy is a fickle thing, and Dylan can’t seem to completely let go of it… Reid doesn’t know what Dylan is doing, but he certainly isn’t interested in being set up by his own crush with someone else. And now his new roommate is trying to make a move on Dylan right in front of him. Reid isn’t about to let his chance get away at happily ever after with his best friend, not without taking a chance at the love he hopes for. Those that know them both are rooting for them, now they just need to take their shots or risk losing the best thing that could ever happen to them both…
