Unabridged Audiobook
07:56:43....that is the distance I made it on this book. I waited for this book to pick up traction and it never did. Hell, i even survived the Scholomance three books, (Naomi Noviks teenage and tantrum centric magic drama). For one, there are too many narrators period. You only need one narrator, especially to do one character. I get trying to immerse the reader into the book with different voices, but I think it's narrated by 5 different people reading multiple chracters which confuses the reader but overall I get it if you want to hear one voice just buy it and read it...understandable. The issue is there is far too much dialogue, sexual cravings, and other unnecessary stuff/fluff that is included when the premise of the book is about magic. Unfortunately, I'm annoyed because I purchase all three audiobooks and do not plan to listen at all. I should have read the reviews before buying...smh, the one time I didn't.
This was such a different book. It took a bit to get a full understanding of who everyone was, as this book has multiple POVs. I was so lost in the book, I often forgot I was reading. It made me think deeply, laugh at many times, and I cannot wait to read the sequel! There was a few things I didn’t see coming, and I am looking forward to finding out what happens. I’m not sure if I had a favorite, but they all had things I liked, and disliked. I think I can relate to Libby most, as she isn’t sure if herself, or her abilities.
No wolrdbuilding, no magic system explanation, no character development, and crude moments only for the point of being edgy.
Hard to believe this book has a good rating. It’s pretty horrible. If you like whiny teenagers and a poorly constructed plot, this is your book
SUCH a great read, read this way too fast and needed more.
The narrators were good, the narrative was not.
This was pointless. It was a very circuitous story to nowhere.
I was confused but intrigued at the same time.
