Unabridged Audiobook
The best audiobook that I’ve ever listen to! Jennifer really takes you on a journey of her life and articulates how it is being Asperger’s, I highly recommend for anyone on the spectrum or had family on it. 5 star!
Highly recommended, the Best book I have ever read! Really! An absolute eye opener to me. Like a lot other mom's with autistic kids, I started power reading through autism books only to see the light shining on my own issues and I started ticking all the boxes that I hadn't seen before. Thank you for starting my new chapter and taking me on this journey. I can't wait to read the other books that I had read year's ago.
Excellent audio book
I found out I was autistic in my twenties, and this book helped me so much! definitely will be recommending to everyone.
reads well, helpful insight, quick read
A must read for everyone! There has been years of research on boys/men on the spectrum but for the longest time we were told that a woman on the spectrum was rare… so they were ignored. This is an insight that has been missing from literature and general knowledge for far too long.
A really honest story that allowed me to understand autism better especially with females.
I learned so much about traits of autism for boys and girls, and how to be more sensitive and patient when with people who could have autism. The narrator, who is the author, was excellent. As I was listening to this story, I was picturing the main character in the TV show, High Potential, although that character has never indicated she is autistic.
Started out with interest but couldn’t finish it, the author / narrator was too annoying and it was more about her brilliance than the topic
Very insightful which I really appreciated but a bit repetitive.Nice voice. Did not sound have that computer corrected sound (thankfully). Sometimes a little too theatrical though.
Found this book super interesting, even though our family doesnt have anyone the subject content relates to. Learning about all the aspects of Jennifers life, struggles, overcoming things. The best though was hearing the author articulate her own words, and the raw emotion of describing certain situations.
Gave me incite into what my daughter with Asperger’s has dealt with. The book made me laugh and cry. Having Asperger’s is hard.
This book explains SO MUCH!
Really wonderful and engaging book - Jennifer is an amazing story teller so this is fantastic to listen to!
