I’m a truck driver and it kept me interested for my 11 hour shift driving on I 40 the Phoenix, Arizona love the book

I'll listen to anything by Corvin. The story is truly dark but beautiful.

This was very well done. The storyline kept me interested.

Story on Stockholm Syndrome and dragons. Lots of inconsistencies within the story. Narrators were horrible.

I really enjoyed this book. The crime, old-school gang elements, and unexpected love story made it a compelling read, and I found myself invested in the characters and their story. My only criticism is that some of the disturbing stories involving underage children were unnecessarily graphic and descriptive. I think those scenes could have been removed or rewritten with less detail without taking away from the overall story. Overall, though, I really liked the book and would recommend it.

Quite a very different twist of a book. Quite enjoyable kind of a modern day fairytale princess story.

I loved this book, but I was able to figure out who the villain was pretty early on.

Great story. Loved the male narrator, the female sounded too much like AI and the speed always sounded too quick and clipped.

The book was fine. My biggest issue was with production. Many parts were repeated and the editing was sloppy. But other than that, just fine

This was a good listen! Wasn't expecting the rapist to be who it needed up being. One thing was at one point Leila says she was going to put on a "frock"! Who says that? The narrators were fantastic.

My favorite romances are of one broken person loving another broken person through hell and out again so together they have a fighting chance of healing and thriving BUT this is not that type of book. I want to start by saying I was someone who was hurt in my late teens by a relationship like the one described in this book. Abusive in all senses of the word. Jealousy, petty, selfish and frankly almost my death. An unwinding of the mind and heart that broke me as a human being but then someone stepped up to love me so I could be back to myself. We have been together now for 24 years. This story is not encouraging healing or prevention of pain but a seductive attempt to get the reader will accept these behaviors. Author, do better for humanity, we can do pain all by ourselves.

I loved this story, from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this book. I love it when there are two narrators to play the different genders, it helps keep it very clear. The narrators were amazing!

This book is great can’t wait to read the rest. Great narration although I have some trouble with a couple words from the mfc because of the accent and had to rewind Love the plot twist, and the not so spice smut. Overall it’s just one of the best.

Not a pirate or adventurous mafia book. It’s a mellow-dramatic romance novel. Maybe I didn’t read the description carefully, but it definitely was not what I was looking for.

Not what I expected and not my type of thriller. The narrators made the book a little more bearable but overall, not for me and not something I would recommend unless you’re into random sex scenes that include a teenager.

Great story and narrators. I was hesitant to get this book at first due to other’s comments about cheating. However, I also don’t consider it as cheating. It is a true and well written love story with a dark side to it, being mafia hence having killings. For those who won’t be offended by the dark side, it is a beautiful and rich love story. I look forward to more.

Didint expect to like this genre!

Not for me. Read the reviews sounded good but nothing came close. Foul language. An Irish accent.

To start if I where an author and I was going to put my book on audibles I would pick the correct narrator. Meaning if was told by an Irish person that I would make sure that the narrator spoke Irish. Well the male narrator Corvin King was beautiful. His voice was deep and Irish and fit the part excellently. I absolutely loved him. The book was amazing. Just the right amount of everything. The sex was enough to where it wasn’t to much that would take away from the story. There is graphic parts and if you liked Sopranos then you will love this book. The only reason I gave it a four stars on the narrator, had absolutely nothing at all to do with Corvin King. It had to do with the female Narrator, Lucy Rivers. It wasn’t her voice. The sound was fine but she read it as if it was a menu at a restaurant. The sentence would end but she wouldn't. She would stop in the middle of a sentence and then went on. I am not saying that I took English as my major. But I do know how to read. I was very close to just find another book to listen to but im happy that I didn't. The reason l didn't was the book was excellent and the male narrator Corvin King. Loved the book and I will read more of I.J. Shen

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was pleasantly surprised. The narration, plot and characters were great. I will definitely look into more books by this author

This is the first story that was pretty hard to follow for me. The narrators (while I love Corvin King) were just not there for me. Idk if it was the accent he used but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. The story was a little dragged out in my opinion and didn’t completely tie together until the last chapter and although it ended gently it seemed like it came to an abrupt stop for me.

Loved the narrators and the story but the twist at the end hurt something awful. Didn’t like who was the ultimate villain.

Liked it when I read it, loved it when I listened to the audio.

The story could have had so much more depth than it did. It also had some really stupid parts in it, like a 15 year old wrote it. My gawd, though, the male narrator is just divine! He is 10/10. The female, she made it nearly impossible to keep listening. If it wasn't for him, I would not have finished this book.

Wonderful story and background. The characters were easy to relate with and understood. Loved the plot and the progression! Extra stars for the narrator- the accent made the book come to life and was insatiably steamy!
