This most recent of the Joe Pickett series was worth the wait. It grabbed my attention early on by opening at least five plot lines. Since Joe is getting older, I wonder how the author is going to handle future installments. However, he left enough open ended stories to tell that I'm already looking forward to #26.

C J Box doesn't disappoint! I listened to Battle Mountain twice I enjoyed the story and characters so much. It was amazing how he tied in current events with such reality in a fictional environment.

This was one of the best in the series. I couldn't wait to continue listenning!
