A very well written book. A profound story that is inspirational to all women. Having Mrs Obama as the narrator made the book very special, a beautiful voice I can listen to for hours.

A must read. Gives hope that no matter your background or ethnicity you can achieve anything with hard work, dedication and commitment.

Michelle has a really calm and soothing voice. It was really fascinating to understand her journey and very uplifting.

Great that Michelle narrated her own book, brilliantly done and kept me compelled throughout. Really enjoyed this account of her life so far and found all the details very interesting, loved it. Just hope that one day Melania Trump writes her memoirs.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, read by the author. Full of life, serious and yet upbeat, Michelle Obama's account f her life so far is inspiring and entertaining. She writes an reads with an authenticity that is seldom seen and I felt I really knew her a lot better than before. A very worthwhile book no matter your politics.

I was impressed by Michelle Obama before, but that's nothing to how I feel now. She's an inspirational person. I'd love to go for a glass of wine with her, I think she'd be fantastic company. Thanks for sharing your story Michelle.

I loved this book. It made me laugh out loud and made me cry at times. I adore that Michelle is reading it, as her voice is so easy and soothing and full of love for her journey.

Absolutely amazing!!!

A very honest book that takes you right inside Michelle Obama's head. Her strength, intelligence and personality come through strongly, as does her frustration at being thrust into a life she would not necessarily have chosen, and which rapidly became not her own. You get the impression that living in the shadow of a great man has not been easy for her and that she wonders at what more she would have achieved in her own right, if he had taken a different path. It is not a fast-paced read and narrated in the soft, languid tones of the author herself - which is a bonus. Definitely a book to have on whilst you are getting on with things and enjoying it but not hanging on every word. I enjoyed listening to it and learned some important things about life in America, and in the fierce intensity of the public spotlight. I was tempted to skip ahead at times, although I didn't. It left me even more convinced that Barack Obama was a very rare thing, a top politician and a US president who is also a very fine human being.

Excellent very inspiring and encouraging to young people especially young girls who tend to think they are not good enough

This book was such a pleasure from beginning to end. I feel motivated and inspired in so many ways and my respect and admiration for this incredible woman has grown even bigger than before.

I tried to read the book itself but found it super slow and couldn’t get hooked to it. So decided to go audible way and I have now finished this in a week. I think it helps that Mrs Obama is reading it herself making it even more interesting. Loved the book and you really get to understand why she is who she is.

An absolutely incredible book. Loved it!!! One of my all time favourites. I was so surprised at Michelle’s authenticity, honesty and compassion. I was both inspired and in awe. I was expecting more America self promotion but there was none.

An honest and thorough reading of her entire life. Respecting Michelle and the Obamas a lot more now having heard her side of it. What we normally see are the either the evils of politics or/and the pomp and paegentry of being First family in the White House, but this brings to home the humanity of the people who do these jobs. It is definitely a huge sacrifice on their part and a job very few can do and do well. The 19 hours of the book went by so quickly.
