Unabridged Audiobook
This was no mystery. The signposts far the denouement far too obvious. The ‘heroine’ was over dramatic and feeble, not helped by the narrator adopting a coyly wimpy voice, which grated. Author resorted to over using graphic words to describe visceral reactions, all, it seems, involving various gradations of nausea, from queasy to full on vomiting. Lazy, cliche, hyperbolic adjectives deployed throughout, such as ‘searing’ pain. Not enjoyable.
Great read. Audio for the second character a bit off but totally a fun ride. I knew who did it almost from the beginning but it was fun arguing with the characters to open their eyes!
absolutely brilliant
