Unabridged Audiobook
It’s been a minute since I’ve read a rockstar romance and this one delivered on so many levels — Beneath Cherry Blossom Memories was gritty, raw, and had me feeling all the feels. I did an immersive read, and loved John Solo’s narration! I went through it while reading this one — I was Team Phoenix from the second I met him and initially was angry with Eli. But…as I got to know Eli, that anger faded and compassion took its place. If you are not a fan of the addiction trope and a mental health rep, you likely will struggle with Eli’s choices and actions — his character does not follow a linear arc, it’s an addict’s journey through and through. Phoenix and Eli’s relationship was toxic to the highest degree, but damn, if I wasn’t rooting for these two to each get it together so they could have something lasting and more substantial than their initial, explosive pairing. The tension, chemistry and spice was exquisite, and the trust that eventually was built was beautiful to see. The found family aspect with Phoenix’s band will give you the warm and fuzzies, and I cannot wait for more from this series!
