Unabridged Audiobook
Danielle Allen did it again....This book was awesome. I love how she describes her characters, it's so real. The relationships between Jazmyn and Aunt Addison, Jazmyn and Lamar, Jazmyn and her friends, and her parents. I loved them all, especially how protective they all were for Jazmyn. Andddddd the sex scenes between Jazmyn and Lamar, Whewwww. Danielle addressed the affects of bullying at a young age and how it stains you in adulthood. She also addressed death. The care she put into telling aunt Addison death story and the dignity along with it. How death exposes and frees. Even after aunt Addisons death, Jazmyn still made sure to finish her list. Aunt Addison had a great affect over everyone she knew. Danielle also addressed how the sports world will criticize you for who you date or for your personal life. She also showed how groupies or exes will show up when you're happy or to create choas.Lamar like Russ from the previous book are ideal men. I'm still looking for mines . Lamar was so thoughtful and considerate. And when he called her Jazzy, I felt that too. That man, that man! A man that can talk you through it and take charge, chefs kiss. I love to see Black women loved outloud without struggle, embarrassment, and genuine love, no matter the size or statue. This was my favorite book of the series, aunt Addy did it for me. #Book10of2026 #BookWorm #WhatsNext
The ending of this series was touching for sure! Jazmine's story had me laughing and crying throughout the entire book. EVERY woman deserves their "Lamar Anderson", their Cinderella moment, and to be loved/cherished like the Queen they are. I love the explicit sex scenes, And all characters in this book.
This was a good end to the series. I admit there were parts where I was bored with the storyline. Lamar and Aunt Addie were keeping me engaged. I had to remember though, Jaz seemed "boring" to me because she wants peace away from the previous experienced chaos. After learning the details of what she experienced and why it affected her the way it did, it helped me understand the build up. Additionally, at times she had me so frustrated because she would not say what NEEDED to be said! The social issues touched on in this book were great
