It was pretty good

Favorite movie with Bogart. Liked the book. Scenes from the movie were ok but the book description filled in the gaps. Of course back in Bogart days there were no nude scenes. Brick is one of my go to readers. Have lots of books with his voice.

The book is fun, and is worth the read, if for no other reason than the fact that it helped spark the entire world of the hard-boiled detective novel. There are plot holes, and unanswered questions. But...so what? Enjoy the ride, and the narrative style that, eventually becoming a cliche, is still a lot of fun.
