Unabridged Audiobook
Really enjoyed this one......well written and read. More than once I stayed in the car waiting for the chapter to finish AFTER I reached my destination. Really well done.
This was a highly unbelievable story about crazy christians against equally crazy scientist. The storyline was full of impossible scenarios ( a 40 million dollar government machine complex with one security officer and no guards ). Could some highly skeptical scientists abandon their skepticism and analytical research to blindly follow their charismatic leader/sci-fi guru? It made me sick to my stomach having to listen to the preaching/ quoting scripture/logic on both sides of the camp. Comically the only sympathetic characters were the navajo, and Wyman Ford. With the others book characters I didn't care if they lived or died, as a matter of fact I almost wished them dead by the end of the book. What I liked about the book was the description of the corrupt political lobbyists and televangical preachers (yikes!) . Also the voice-over of one of the main characters (Hazelius) was very annoying.
