Always enjoy Karin Slaughter books, especially Sara Linton stories. She's such a likable character. This was a good story, moved at a nice pace and definitely kept you guessing until the moment the author meant to start clueing you in. Narrator does a great job.

Another slam dunk for K. Slaughter and Narrator Kathleen Early I just started book 2 in this series...

Unfortunately for me I started with Karin’s sequel series to this and had no idea this one existed so I have had to work my way backwards. But even doing that, the first book of the series is great and nothing is ruined having read the sequel to this. Karin is a talented author and Kathleen early is my absolute favorite narrator!

I gave it four not five stars because it was so graphic. It was too graphic for me, I should say. I like the story and the writing a lot. I guessed who the bad guy was as soon as he was introduced to us, but I liked how the author unraveled the tale for us. The narrator was excellent except when she over-enunciated “wh” at the beginning of a word.

As always the descriptive writing of this author lingers long after the shock of imagination. A few surprises were well planned out. This is the first book in this series, I googled in what order to read them. I’m curious now to see if some of the same characters pop up in the other Grant County books and if so how have their relationships changed based on what they have each endured alone and together.

One of the best writers of all times. The story plot is awesome, it keeps you guessing until the end.

Great book

This is the first time I ever heard by this author a great book I really enjoyed listening to it. Now looking forward to more .

Karin Slaughter is my new favorite author to listen to. Her stories are gritty and frightening, and her characters seem very real and flawed. I like to listen in the car on a trip, but once I start listening, i have to listen to the end. I kind of guessed who the bad guy was in this one, but there were still plenty of twists and turns before he was revealed. I will continue on in the Grant County series. The narration is great.

I love Karen Slaughter. My only criticism is you have to get a fourth of the way in the book to get "hooked". She just can't get a good beginning going. But her endings are really good. I've read most of her books and The Kept Woman is probably my favorite . D.SC.

I enjoyed this book, it was a good thriller/mystery. I selected the next in her series to read and can see myself reading all of her books.

This is a great read and AWESOME narration. I am a fan of both the author and narrator.

The book was great I love this author and how she writes. I wish the endings would have been a little longer but still a good read/listen.
