Loved this though it could appear formulaic, but the narrator did a great job and made it a pleasure from start to finish. Looking forward to the sequel.

This is a methodical story. In some places it is even laborious, but if you stick with it, it is worth it. Having now gone through the unabridged version of the written piece, I think I'd like to see this movie. I am an Eastwood fan, so maybe it would work for me? Narrator was pretty good too!

I know that I'm not supposed to read a book based solely on the curiosity of a movie, but I did it. I actually bought the Unabridged version and forgot about it, but the book took so long for anything to happen. Harry Bosch novels are great because you know that he is going to come out on top but Terry just dragged everything out. Then I was disappointing with the results. Wasn't, from reading the Harry Bosch series and Scarecrow, a good one for Michael Connelly.

I think I would have enjoyed the unabridged version better. Since I saw the movie I did not enjoy it like I thought I would. Usually the book has a lot more to offer then the movie in this case they were pretty close to the same. I did enjoy the movie. If I had not seen the movie I would have enjoyed the book more.

As I had hoped for, the book was a nice mystery with twists and turns at each chapter. Though it was not a book I "couldn't put down"...it was the entertainment I had rented it for. The story was well thought out and definitely intriguing.
