Great short story

Being a fan of the BBC series Father Brown, it didn’t take long for me to catch onto the story plot. Very enjoyable!

boring and difficult to get into the story. I know didn't finish it.

What a clever & entertaining short story. I could have listened longer !

Of course, Mark Twain’s wit and ability as a wordsmith shine as does the crafting of the tale itself. He is so masterful. However, most importantly, the narrator does an excellent job giving each character a distinctive voice and makes this an enjoyable listen.

I really enjoyed this book, father Brown, an unlikely Detective is a great read/listen. The way he out wits the criminal is very clever.

I enjoy Father Brown stories, this was a good one and the narration was good too.

An American who can’t pronounce English place names is a big failure for me. Quirky little story based on a strong literary character. Having read some of the stories it was predictable.

I liked the characters and the author's affection for them.

My only complaint is that it was too short

For an English listener some of the pronunciations made me chuckle but it didn’t detract from an entertaining story

I love GK Chesterton and the Father Brown stories, and this is a good one, but I must say that the narrator is not great. He doesn't place emphasis on the right words and mispronounces others. I wish a British actor had done the reading instead.

I had forgotten why I was drawn to Chesterton. Was it the eloquent description or…. It was definitely the time travel.

I didn't realize this book was Father Brown until the very end which made it even more of a mystery while reading it. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the narrator was perfect!
