With police detective Amelia Sachs by his side, Rhyme must follow a labyrinth of clues that reaches back to a dark chapter in New York City’s past—and reach further into the darkness of the mind of a madman who won’t stop until he has stripped life down to the bone.

I have read other books by this author and really enjoyed them. However, this narrator sounds so much like an unemotional computer generated voice that it was distracting and unenjoyable. My sister and I were on a long car trip and had to stop listening halfway through. Disappointing!

This is the first book I could not listen to because of the narration. I actually asked for my credit back. The narrators tone does not match the writing and is super nasally. It sounds like he should be reading a physics text. Do not recommend.

Love the book, but the narrator of this one is horrible. He sounds like a computer generated voice, no real emotion, very difficult to listen to.

I could barley listen to this book - In fact after a hour I just gave up. The narrator sounds like he is a computer and does not use inflection or changes in tone or pace to make the story 'come alive" I was confused from the onset and will not finish this story - very disappointed.

Good detective style book. Kept me listening and interested. Narration was terrible. Sounded like computer generated. Would not download another book with this narrator

Jeffrey Deaver is a genius writer and this book is no exception. His characters are so well written I feel like I know them personally. You could feel the victims pain through his artful descriptions. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.
