Unabridged Audiobook
I enjoyed the book. I do feel like rhe characters needed a little more fleshing out .
Dry and very slow.
I always enjoy a cozy, well-written historical whodunit, with believable characters and a researched setting. If you like it, too, you'll love this book.
If you have any doubts after the first half hour, it doesn't get any better. There are little stakes involved, the male voicing is slightly annoying, and it is just not that interesting unfortunately.
East listen
Well written and researched. Although I could see this was meant to be suspenseful, it wasn’t. What had promise, failed to deliver, although I enjoyed the period context. It was pleasantly refreshing to have sexual tension, as opposed to unwarranted graphic description
Very nice little cozy mystery. I enjoyed the characters.
well done
Cozy, well written but slow paced story.
Interesting story and narration isn't bad either. A goodread for historical fiction fans.
Enjoyable listen, light plot, not much of a mystery. Narrator did an excellent job and kept my interest going.
slow, but cozy. nice to listen to on commutes
This is a romance novel with a murder. I am not fond of romance novels.
Good twist at the end. Interesting characters and plot
loved it, loved all of it.
Good book. Good narrator. Fun for a lazy Sunday afternoon listen.
Cute story
Enjoyed this light murder-mystery with some romance worked in. I wonder if she will make this a series?!? Narrator was very good too.
Love the story and everything about it. I will say, this recording has terrible sound quality.
Picture a scientist, both nerdy and adventurous, as she is solving a murder in a historical who-dunnit with a university setting.
This is what my sister and I call a “cozy” book. Yes there’s a murder, there’s intrigue, but it is definitely part mystery, part romance. A delightful book that I thoroughly enjoyed!
Favorite book of 2023 thus far.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun read/listen and I liked learning about all kinds of poisonous plants. The main characters are likeable even if a few dumb decisions were made. I'm interested to see where the author goes with the next book. Overall, a great read with a nice atmosphere :)
