I read the ebooks before getting the audiobooks. I love this series! I have since read all of the titles in this series and am excited for the next series in this universe. Krista Luna really knows how to write a grumpy MMC. I like the added element of magic, witches, and fae in this series. It's definitely fun and funny, which I've come to see this author knows how to do very well. Krista Luna is now one of my favourite authors, and if you love cozy fantasy romance with lots of spice this is the author and book for you. I do love a male who knows how to grovel when he's been wrong. The narrators also do an amazing job with these characters.
Well this was delightful. Fated mates, transportation to a new world, grumpy/sunshine trope, and a dragon BFF—all things I love. Dravarr is a super grump that doesn’t initially appreciate his bride, but his self-flagellation made up for it for me. I like a man (or orc) who recognizes his mistakes and works to fix them. Yes, Ashley is a bit of an airhead, but I can forgive her due to her past trauma. Drake was probably my favorite character. He’s such a teen…dragon. Made me smile so much. Overall, Bound to the Orc Warlord was a fun and entertaining read and I’m ready for more.
So, probably don’t need to say, but gonna say: I could listen to Sean Masters talk about ‘the proper way to boil water’ on repeat and never tire of it. Sierra Kline is always a win for female characters. Author Krista Luna is on her game, as usual, with Dravarr and Ashley’s story. The spice is kicked up a notch from ‘Ranger’ — I am not complaining
