okay, this series here starts well. it is full of Action, adventure, drama and so much more. The passion in the hate between them is so hot and cold at the beginning. She puts up a really good fight there. that push and pull is like, omg, I don't know how to say it. you just need to read/listen to this book it so good.

I normally love fantasy novels, but I was somewhat disappointed with this book. The pace was quite slow and there was too much immature bickering between the main characters.

I absolutely adored this story! The characters are fierce and lovable. The slow-burn romance is completely swoon-worthy (for spice lovers: although the feel of it was adult, it was fade-to-black). I cannot wait to see what happens next. Also, the dual narration was done perfectly. All around fantastic!

Very enjoyable. I especially like using a male and female narrator as opposed to one narrator.

I love a good fae story and whilst this is a slow burner taking lots of twists and turns, book 1 is a great start in the layala and thane story. Jake and Bridget have a great nack of lending their voices to all sorts of characters. LOVE it

The narration was amazing. Truly brought the story to life. They gave the characters a vibrancy I couldn’t get enough of. Their perspectives and beliefs were so strong I felt like I was there. The angst was real. I enjoyed the mystery and their passion. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

What a fun read! Elves have been losing their magic and when tested at birth and found to have magic she’s mated to the Kings son through a mark. Her mom worried for her safety sends her with her friend tk the human world and dies keeping her safe. 24 years later Layala has trained to defeat the dark king and his son. But when her son shows up she learns things aren’t as they seem. A fun wolf ride with a lot of things you don’t see coming. Love, hate, betrayal, lies and discovery are just parts of the journey of this books. So far this series is what I consider YA so younger audiences should be good. There are references to steamy things but no real details. Since this is out of the norm for me I wanted to let those on the fence know.

I can already tell that this story has a little something for everyone. Steam, smoke and mirrors. I am enjoying the opening so much I don't know if I will make it to the end of this tale.

I won't lie. It took me a while to get into this. About 50% through until I was finally hooked. But man once I was hooked, I was hooked. And the ending!!! Can't wait to read/listen to book 2. As for the audio. I will say I found Bridgetts accent to fall flat. It just wasn't doing it for me like she normally does. Jake's was *chefs kiss*. Overall, very good.

Easy listening. Typical story line but well written and a few twists in the characters and plot. Looking forward to the next saga.

stilted derivitive writing as elegant as a rough concrete slab, the narrator makes me dizzy with her gaspy breathless narration.

Story is great and narrators do a good job except for the odd character accents a bit annoying but overall a good listen

Story was really good. I liked that they were not immediately in love. I enjoyed the duel narration. Not a huge fan of the male accent.

I really enjoyed the story line and the characters is this book and was flowing and an easy listen that being said I decided to read the second book because even though the due narration was very nice and kept the story flowing the female narrater's reading felt stressed even in the calmer parts and something in her reading articulation didn't sit well with me
