‘True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are.’

Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives – experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame and empathy.

Now, in Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarisation.

Brown argues that what we're experiencing today is a spiritual crisis of disconnection and introduces four practices of true belonging that challenge everything we believe about ourselves and each other.

With her trademark mix of research, storytelling and honesty, Brown again changes the cultural conversation, offering us the clarity and courage to discover a clear path to true belonging in our communities, organisations and culture.

This is not my first Brene Brown book, and certainly won’t be my last. Her words are wise and comforting and she is vulnerable and relatable. Each of her books keep you wanting to learn more. More about human emotions, relationships and more about yourself. I love Brene’s teachings and you will too

I loved this book! Brené uses research in a relatable way to challenge readers to become their most authentic self while allowing others to be their authentic selves. In a culture of antagonism, Brenè bravely models her own message by providing practical guidance and vulnerable examples of how we can create deeper connection with one another. I would love to read this again in a book club :)
