I have now read the complete series of Joe Pickett by C. J. Box and I just have to say it was the best books I have read. The stories really kept you listening to the next and so on. Wow my whole family got into listening we just could not stop. The narrator was awesome really put you in the story, could have maybe had some more emotion in the tone of voice but stories were so good you just didn't care. Hope to see and listen to more from this writer totally hooked.

This is a little slow in the beginning but quickly escalates into a cliff hanger. It’s great.

I enjoyed this book up until the ending. I was not happy that the Dad went to Jail. Love the narrator

All of the C.J. Box stories I’ve read have been awesome. I love the Joe Pickett series.

What a wonderful story! The plot(s) were a bit complicated but as the story progressed tiring things together, although a challenge, was really fun. The heavy handed Federal Bureaucracy reminded me of my own experiences. I found myself rooting for the family directly affected and was surprised at how far a Father will go to protect his daughter. I could not put this book down, the drama and changing discoveries regarding the motive and opportunity of the crime was riveting!

Love Joe Pickett but this story is a bit convoluted compared to others.
