Unabridged Audiobook
First audio book for many years. Had me gripped from start to finish. The narrators voice was spot on and clearly defined each character. Definitely recommend this book
An absolutely wonderful tale delivered with elegant style by the narrator. Thoroughly enjoyable.
What a lovely little story I was pleasantly surprised. A bit annoyed by the changing of readers in such a small story but they did a pretty good job.
WOW!! I actually applauded when this book ended. It is simply another fantastic book by Mary Roberts Rinehart. I think it’s the best one by her I have read .. or listened to..thus far. It is indeed long and the number of characters is hard to follow and especially so at least for me the final resolution of “the whodunnit”. But it never became boring or tiresome. It was absorbing beginning to end. And insofar as the ending is concerned as one reviewer stated, it is abrupt. But that was apparently her style which in no way detracts. It is also a fascinating glimpse into the mind… whether or not how it is all depicted is factual or otherwise. And Nicholas Clifford does a superb job. If you haven’t listened to one of the author’s books or to Mr. Clifford, start here.
It was a nice story, although I woukdnt have Said it was akin to an Agatha Christie novel. It was my first time listening to this Author. I was a bit disappointed with the ending, although it was obviously a ‘happy ‘ outcome, there had been soooo much anxiety and sorrow p, it would have been nice to have the last chapter more uplifting.
Really enjoyed this with it twisted plot
