Unabridged Audiobook
Travis Baldree does it again! I was a huge fan of the first two books, and I definitely loved this one too. The story takes a staunch directional change from the first two, a story about someone seeking a life adventure to discover themselves instead of the other way around. But it's not an unpleasant change and makes for a really fun adventure story. The action was well written and vivid while still being easy to follow. The characterization- something that Baldree excels in foremost in my opinion- held up as well especially in the main character Fern, who I related to quite a bit. The other two characters (the other main characters? the supporting cast?) was adorable and played nicely off of each other as well. The twist ending was great as well, but that's all you'll hear from me about that. And of course, the narration was on point. I enjoy the way Baldree reads and this is his story, so everything is on the up and up with how he did it lol. All in all, it's hard for me to find something to criticize about this book. It won't be for everybody but it was definitely for me!
