A Bright Winter Season

A feel-good family saga about second chances and the bond between siblings.

As a blanket of snow covers Rosewood Beach, the Owens family is busier than ever. Determined to give everyone in town a place to celebrate the holidays, they decide to host a Christmas gathering at the restaurant. But to Vivian’s dismay, their plans are put in jeopardy when the local health inspector insists they fix the vents at The Lighthouse Grill first.

For Hazel, helping to plan the party has been a welcome distraction. After focusing on herself and spending time with her daughter, she’s convinced that she’s finally moved past her crush on Jacob, the local handyman who seems forever out of reach.

When Jacob offers to help fix the pub’s ventilation system, Hazel is relieved to find that she’s perfectly relaxed around him. Now that she knows he’s off the market, the nerves she used to feel around him have evaporated, and she can actually enjoy his company as a friend. After all, he’s dating someone else… or so she thinks.

As they spend hours working and laughing together, Hazel realizes that Jacob might not be taken after all. Suddenly, the feelings she thought she’d buried come roaring back—along with the nerves and self-doubt. Will she find the courage to take the leap this time?

Meanwhile, Alexis discovers she’s pregnant just as she launches her fledgling jewelry business, Grayson proves how far he’s come as a supportive husband, and Julia grapples with missing her old career in New York… until she realizes that embracing the holiday spirit might be just the thing she needs.

Take a trip to Rosewood Beach, where the water is warm, the sand is soft, and the Owens family is waiting to welcome you into their lives! This sweet and uplifting women’s fiction series is the perfect bookish escape.
