Summary
THE NEW TWISTY, GRIPPING AUDIOBOOK FROM B. A. PARIS, THE AUTHOR OF THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLING TITLES BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AND THE BREAKDOWN

“We’re in a new Golden Age of suspense writing now, because of amazing books like Bring Me Back, and I for one am loving it.” —Lee Child

She went missing. He moved on. A whole world of secrets remained—until now.

Finn and Layla are young, in love, and on vacation. They’re driving along the highway when Finn decides to stop at a service station to use the restroom. He hops out of the car, locks the doors behind him, and goes inside. When he returns Layla is gone—never to be seen again. That is the story Finn told to the police. But it is not the whole story.

Ten years later Finn is engaged to Layla’s sister, Ellen. Their shared grief over what happened to Layla drew them close and now they intend to remain together. Still, there’s something about Ellen that Finn has never fully understood. His heart wants to believe that she is the one for him...even though a sixth sense tells him not to trust her.

Then, not long before he and Ellen are to be married, Finn gets a phone call. Someone from his past has seen Layla—hiding in plain sight. There are other odd occurrences: Long-lost items from Layla’s past that keep turning up around Finn and Ellen’s house. Emails from strangers who seem to know too much. Secret messages, clues, warnings. If Layla is alive—and on Finn’s trail—what does she want? And how much does she know?

A tour de force of psychological suspense, Bring Me Back will have listeners questioning everything and everyone until its stunning climax.

First two books were way better and more creative. Pass.

I like the format of this book with the telling of his story first leading up to the event and then her story. It was a little too easy to figure out the big plot twist but everyone said was coming. And the way that he over analyze everything is extremely annoying I just felt like I threw it in there as filler. The Narrator was great overall I would not recommend this book

This author's books are known for exciting psychological twists at the end which I anticipated with great expectation in Bring Me Back. Unfortunately, this book ends with a thud and not the thrilling jolt that makes the suspense of the book worthwhile.

The other books by the author are far better. This was so far fetched and dull. Even the narratators were difficult to listen to- I felt like they were speaking in a loud whisper, except for the multiple times he yelled LAYLA! Almost comical.

I agree with all the reviews posted thus far. I got bored by chapter 11 and skipped ahead to the ending which I found uneventful and really sad.

I enjoyed the narration but the story is lacking. It was interesting enough to keep me listening but there were too many repetitive, boring scenes, unbelievable plot lines and characters I could care less about.

Honestly the story was very unbelievable. I won't give spoilers, but in my opinion when the big crescendo happens and everything comes to light it is anti climatic. And left me going.."yeah right. That would never happen". Story was thin and boring at times. Not the worst I have ever listened to, but very far from the best.
