Unabridged Audiobook
Everyone needs to read this
I joined the "Burned Haystack Dating Method" private group on FB a few years ago. It wasn't that I was interested in dating, but I wanted to learn about "critical discourse analysis." Jennie Young and the group members opened my eyes to all the mistakes I'd made, and all the things I'd misunderstood, in the world of online dating (where I took an lengthy beating). But this book isn't merely about how to have the best chances for success on dating apps. Far from it. This is for every person interested in how American men and women relate (or don't) to each other - as written in a feminist perspective. If you're a woman who's been on the dating apps and come away licking your wounds, or deeply frustrated because you try and try and never manage to find someone appropriate and interested, you will feel so much better and smarter after reading this book. I especially recommend the book for therapists and particularly male therapists (and men in general) if they have clients who are frustrated on the apps. Clue: it's not that women hate men. But women do hate being treated like chattel. They also hate being lied to by, say, conservative men who want to pass for moderate in order to somehow "sway" the woman to their favor. Jennie Young is compassionate, but she has no patience for con artists, sex abusers, married men disquised on the apps as available, etc. READ THIS BOOK and bask in the shining light of truth.
