A spirit inhabits the statues, gardens, and buildings of Kleinburg University. For centuries, it has shaped campus life to its will by covertly manipulating staff and students. However, when Kasimir Schneider enrolls in the parapsychology program, things run out of order. Hopelessly enamoured, the spirit follows the young man around campus, soon steering his every move. Kasimir, sensing the eerie presence by his side, gets lost in the world of paranormal research-with fatal consequences. As the paramedics retrieve Kasimir’s lifeless body from Kleinburg's laboratories, the campus spirit hovers above him, feverishly addressing its beloved student . . . wondering where things went wrong.
