With the same wicked humor, buoyant charm, and optimism that have made her Shopaholic novels beloved international bestsellers, Sophie Kinsella delivers a hilarious new novel and an unforgettable new character. Meet Emma Corrigan, a young woman with a huge heart, an irrepressible spirit, and a few little secrets:

Secrets from her mother:I lost my virginity in the spare bedroom with Danny Nussbaum while Mum and Dad were downstairs watching Ben-Hur.Sammy the goldfish in my parents' kitchen is not the same goldfish that Mum gave me to look after when she and Dad were in Egypt.

Secrets from her boyfriend:I weigh one hundred and twenty-eight pounds. Not one eighteen, like Connor thinks.I've always thought Connor looks a bit like Ken. As in Barbie and Ken.

From her colleagues:When Artemis really annoys me, I feed her plant orange juice. (Which is pretty much every day.) It was me who jammed the copier that time. In fact, all the times.

Secrets she wouldn't share with anyone in the world:My G-string is hurting me.I have no idea what NATO stands for. Or even what it is.

Until she spills them all to a handsome stranger on a plane. At least, she thought he was a stranger.

But come Monday morning, Emma's office is abuzz about the arrival of Jack Harper, the company's elusive CEO. Suddenly Emma is face-to-face with the stranger from the plane, a man who knows every single humiliating detail about her. Things couldn't possibly get worse, Until they do.

This was one of the worst books I've ever read, and by far the worst book I've ever listened to on audio. I read Sophie Kinsella's "I've got your number" and loved it so much that I wanted to try another of her books. Boy was I disappointed!! The narrator was horrid, and the story so basic and predictable and not compelling at all, it was hard to get through. The only reason I kept listening to it was because it is non refundable! Truly lackluster, ANNOYING book! I LOOOVE romantic comedy chick lit but this is dreadful.

Probably her best so far. 4.5 stars. I like the tension when she decides not to forgive him.

All of Sophie Kinsella's books are very entertaining. The narrator did a great job - I especially enjoyed when she spoke in the voices of the secondary characters. Highly recommended!

enjoyed listening - main character reminded me a lot of Bridget Jones?

  • Ana Gutierrez

Great book! Like all Sophie Kinsella's books!! It makes you laugh and the story has you wondering what will happen next!

Kinsella has a clever sense of humor! An uplifting humorous book. Is the book a great classic? No. Is it entertaining? Very.

This is one of the poorest books I ever listened to. I would not recommend it to anyone. The majority of it is written in the thoughts of Emma. The synopsis of this book says that it is a funny book. I found it just the opposite. I would find it hard to rent books by this author again. I would be cautious to do so.

I loved this book! Romantic comedy type of book. I hope they make it in to a movie someday.

I loved this book! I found myself laughing out loud. I also really liked the narrator. This was the first book I've read of her and I am looking forward to the next.

Lighthearted and easy. It's fun to see the embarrasing moments that gal gets into and look into her thoughts. A fun read. Jo
