A great start to an entertaining series. I love how satisfying that ending was, while I'm left with pull me to the next book. The prose is delicious and the narrator did a great job with them. Definitely recommend.

Wow I highly underestimated this book and enjoyed it far more than I had anticipated. The story kept a constant flow that when even near to nothing happens it’s still gripping. Ashiy’s character began as a powerless and cowardly fox and ended up as a courageous hero. Despite all his losses he kept moving onwards and kept creating friendships. When it came to the danger foreshadowed, Ashiy knew where to start and how to save the endangered, thus becoming the hero to this story. I loved the way that this book implemented magic in a world where animals were the ones in power and humans the lesser beings. I also enjoyed the parts of the story that were quiet and calm where they travelled and even just going around life in the kingdom. I am genuinely excited for the next book of this series and where the story will take Ashiy next.
